Whitey & the Brown Jenkins II

I had to see them once more before traveling out of town for a few days tomorrow.
For some cuddles, and some bites again too... LOL
I love them so much.

Whitey

Whitey gave me a bit of a scare yesterday.
I've kept visiting my Brown Jenkins every couple of days. There's the one of them who's not brown at all but is an albino, the one who is missing most of his tail. In fact I don't know if it's a he or a she, but I've come to call him Whitey. The other day when I was there I had no carrots left when he appeared. I promised him to come back the next day and bring some. So I did that yesterday, and at first, neither Whitey nor anyone else was there, only lots of geese. I just came from the gym, my secondary gym which is nearby the park. So I rode to the far side of the pond where I found a single Brown Jenkin with whom I shared a few carrots while also eating some chicken meat myself.
Later I returned to the other side, looking out, and then I spotted Whitey floating in the pond, motionless. The top of his head and back where above the water, but I couldn't see if he was breathing. I was really worried to see him that way and called to him, asking if he was alright. I worried he might be dead. But then I saw his nose twitching a bit...
Maybe he had been sleeping. I don't know if they can do that, sleep while floating in the water. I would have assumed they go into their burrow to sleep.
As I packed out my carrots, Whitey came swimming over and right towards me. I was really happy when he came climbing out of the pond to greet me. We soon got company from a few others then. When they were fighting over the last bits of carrots, I got bitten again. LOL Some of them are some pretty rough fellows, especially one of the biggest brown ones. Whitey is big too, but of more placid nature. Here's a video I made.

And another video, taken by a lady I met there the other week and who was so nice to send it to me. That's me feeding them, of course.

My little one here is the most affectionate, he'll sometimes sit on my legs or climb on me, or nuzzle me with his whiskers on my nose.

I'll go traveling next week, but before I go I'll need to visit them once more. And bring carrots, of course!

Rainy day at the park

Despite the rain I rode to the park again, as there's no better weather in sight anyway before next week. I managed to record some video clips despite both the weather and my slightly broken cam.
And talking bullshit too... I brought my bike? It's more like, the bike brought me; how else would I get there? It's about 7 miles, after all. LOL
The rain had the advantage of no one bothering us. I brought gloves to change, the fingerless ones so I could better handle the food and operate the cam, and full leather ones for riding.

In other matters, our anniversary flowers lasted long. The final lily blossom opened only a week later. The red rose only started hanging its head after 10 days or so, and by now the final two lilies (of four) are still left by themselves in a smaller bottle (serving as vase).

Looking forward to warmer days (hopefully) and new travels soon.
